Pictures! Take a look around the new Big Brother house

Channel 7 have given the first look at the new look Big Brother Australia house ahead of the new season which premieres Monday at 7.30pm.

The custom-built Big Brother house at Sydney’s North Head required a massive refurbishment to accommodate additional secret rooms and new challenge arena, The Yard.

The new look house also features sustainable plantation timber and LED lighting to reduce energy consumption, which were repurposed from other sets.

There are two living green walls at the house, outside and inside, with herbs for use in the kitchen, while Big Brother has also installed some water saving measures which include shower time limits and toilets flushed with rainwater. There are no hairdryers allowed, however hair straighteners and electric shavers are available.

In the lounge, a giant screen is a porthole into Big Brother’s mind and can also offer housemates a sneak peek into what he has in store for them next.

The garden comes complete with pool and outdoor furniture and is the perfect place to relax.

The garden will also host. the occasional task or nomination challenge.

In total there are 65 cameras in the house, including GoPros and purpose-built set cameras.

The most important room of all, where housemates can talk to Big Brother and where housemates cast their vote to evict.

The Diary Room is accessed via a neon lit corridor.
